2009 Expedition

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Alaskan Arctic Expeditions, we specialize in extremely remote dog sledding expeditions in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).  Our team of Alaskan Malamutes allows us to explore rugged, uncharted territory that is otherwise inaccessible by conventional modes of transportation (snowmobiles or aircraft).   Our mission is to explore the unexplored, to see the unseen, and experience the richness of the arctic.  For more information, please visit our website at .

The 2009 Expedition was a great success.  The dogs did a fantastic job pulling through deep snow into new territory in Alaska’s northeastern Brooks Range.  They pulled an average of 3000 lbs. of gear and supplies for three months without any support from snowmobiles or aircraft.  You can read more in the upcoming issue of Mushing Magazine

We saw a lot of beautiful country and wanted to share some photos from the trip.
